The Sentinel Challenge

Second Challenge Response is now up!

Please take your seats quickly, Trainees. We have a lot of ground to cover and not a lot of time to do it in.

One of your instructors, Mr. Sandburg to be exact, has brought it to the Director's attention that we haven't provided you with enough mental exercises. He has asked that several Challenges be offered.

For those of you who haven't read ahead in your manual, a Challenge is a task set by the administration to enhance your skills through some form of creativity. After much consideration and several suggestions from Mr. Sandburg, we have decided on a course to undertake.

The Challenges will be offered to anyone - from the latest trainees to join our department to those soon to move ahead into their full-fledged protection duties. There will be incentives offered as well as a chance to see how your fellow trainees view your answer(s) to the Challenges. There are three parts to the first Challenge and you may choose to participate in part one only, parts one AND two only or all three parts. The second challenge has a single part, but is tied into the "Bridge" Scenario.

Part 1

Either create or find a consumer product with the name "The Sentinel" or "Sentinel". If you do create the product, give us a reason why it was named "Sentinel". Tell what it is or describe it if you created it.

Part 2

Using references to "The Sentinel", create a slogan for the product. Be creative!!!!!!!! Have as much clean fun as you want as long as it makes sense.

Part 3

Write a story, any length, with the guys and the product and incorporate your slogan. The product doesn't have to have a main part in the story, but it should be mentioned with its slogan at least once.

The Birthday Gift by Cindy

Guarding Your House by Jen

CHALLENGE 2

In "Bridge to Sight and Sound", Brenda is telling Jim stories about Blair and Schuyler's childhood. Write a story about something Blair, Schuyler or both did. You can make it funny or sad or whatever (as long as it's clean!) just as long as it's creative.

All submissions to the challenge need to be sent to the Director c/o Sammi at
kaelleigh@kaelleighsworld.com

All submissions will be displayed on special pages and visitors to the site will be given the chance to vote for their favourite products, slogans and stories. Those selected as favourites will be placed on a Hall of Fame page.

Stories will either be displayed at this site or linked to a location at the participant's personal site.

If you choose to only participate in parts one or one and two of the first challenge and wouldn't mind if someone wrote a story using your product, please send a statement giving permission so no problems would arise.

Good Luck, Trainees!
