It Was...

Disclaimer: I don't own Criminal Minds or it's characters. I just play with them for a while and return my toys to where they belong.


It was fucking, pure and simple. No loving words, no sweet kisses, no soft touches. More often than not, one or both of them had to resort to wearing long-sleeves the next day to work just to cover the scratches, bite-marks and bruises.

It didn't matter where they were, just as long as there was somewhere dark and large enough for them to go at it with abandon... They'd long ago learned to muffle their cries of fulfillment. The only thing they cared about was not mussing their clothes and even that was sometimes ignored if the need was great and the case was bad enough.

During those times, all they cared about was feeling... alive. Nothing else mattered.

"Oh God," JJ Jareau gasped as she tore her mouth from her lover's. "Fuck! I can't wait! I need this... need you. Now!"

Derek Morgan released a husky laugh even as he lifted the blond woman in his arms. "Damn, you're a demanding bitch tonight."

"Just shut the hell up, Morgan, and do what you're here for."

"Yes, ma'am!" Without another word, Derek reached in his pocket and pulled out a condom. In one fluid motion, he sheathed himself and then lifted JJ higher. Thanking providence for his companion's foresight in wearing thigh highs and a long skirt, Derek yanked at the panties providing a flimsy barrier and his blood fired as they ripped. Not waiting for either of them to prepare, he rammed himself deep inside her and barely contained his yelp of pain as JJ bit him hard on his shoulder at the rude intrusion.

If someone watched, they would have thought the two people in the corner of the dark alley were involved in mortal combat. The harsh sounds of bodies slapping against each other and muffled profanities were the only things heard for a while and then a higher-pitched moan managed to escape. While one panted for much-needed oxygen to her body, the other's movements increased and broke rhythm as his body raced to completion. A few more sharp jabs and a deep grumble filled the area.

After several long minutes of just breathing, they both locked gazes. Silent words were communicated as Derek withdrew and lowered JJ to the ground on legs that barely remained solid.

"Are you okay?" He asked as he truly took in his surroundings.

JJ nodded and lowered her skirt, instantly returning to the professional FBI agent she normally was. "I'm fine ... at least for now. How I'll be later is a dfferent story. This case..."

Derek pressed his fingers to her bruised lips, effectively stopping her words. "I know. So, if you need more, you know where to find me." JJ nodded and smiled her gratitude as she silently watched Derek put himself to rights. When they were both assured that all was well, another silent conversation took place, but this time it was accompanied by friendly smiles.

This time, they'd found peace. They could walk back into the building and work together to bring the son-of-a-bitch who was terrorizing this town to his knees.

And if they had to participate in any more sessions like this one, they would do it. They would do whatever it took.

It was fucking, pure and simple.

And yet, it was... the one thing guaranteed to keep them from falling into the abyss and becoming the monsters they sought.
