To Hell and Back: Relativity Timeline

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This has been a long time in the works. While I was creating this, I discovered that Medical Investigation has some of the worst continuity ever. LOL! So, this timeline tries to correct that problem. Plus, it inserts Warrick because this is the same universe that the Relativity series is from.

Medical Investigation and Relativity Timeline

July 21, 1962 – Dr. Stephen Connor is born in Boston Massachusetts.

December 24, 1966 – Frank Powell is born in New Orleans, Louisiana

October 10, 1971 – Warrick Adam Brown is born in Las Vegas, NV

April 1976 – Cape Cod, MA
Therese Connor, Stephen's sister, dies of an unknown illness

Summer 1979 – Summer Mathematics and sciences Access to Research and Training Camp, upstate New York
1. Stephen (17) has been attending for the last three years and is now a counsellor
2. This is Frank's (14) second year and he's been assigned to Stephen's area.
3. Boys hit it off immediately
4. By summer's end are fast friends and promise to keep in touch and meet up the next year.

Summer 1980 – S.M.A.R.T. Camp
1. Stephen (18) tells Frank (15) his college plans. He's been accepted at Johns Hopkins and starts in fall.
2. Stephen helps Frank apply to be a counsellor the next year
3. They decide to meet up during the next summer in New York City for a weekend to watch a baseball game.

Fall 1980 – Baltimore, Maryland
Stephen enters Johns Hopkins University

Summer 1981 – New York City
1. Weekend huge success
2. Stephen (19) is impressed with how mature Frank (16) is and lets him know how proud he is of him making counsellor.
3. Decide to get together at Christmas break while Stephen's family is in New Orleans

December 1981 – New Orleans, LA
1. Frank's family welcomes the Connors and the guys hit all of the tourist spots.
2. Stephen takes Frank on a paddleboat dinner cruise for his birthday and realises his feelings are not just friendship

Summer 1982 – Baltimore, Maryland - Johns Hopkins Univ.
1. Frank (17) surprises Stephen (20) when he comes to the University for a Summer Science Programme.
2. First inkling of both having feelings for the other
3. Stephen takes Frank out for dinner and afterwards they share their first kiss
4. Promise to email and write to see where this is going

December 1982 – New Orleans, LA
1. Stephen visits the Powells and the guys grow closer but decide to wait till Frank graduates before going further.
2. Stephen tells Frank that he's applying to Johns Hopkins University Medical School

March 1983 – Baltimore, Maryland
1. Frank (18) flies up to Johns Hopkins for a college visit/preview
2. Stays with Stephen (21) at his apartment.
3. The guys decide they want to take their relationship to the next level and they become lovers.
4. Frank lets Stephen know that he's looking at Universities in the area so they can be close

Graduation 1984 – Baltimore and New Orleans
1. Guys go to each other's graduation.
2. Stephen has been accepted in Johns Hopkins Med and Frank into the University of Maryland as a biochem major.
3. Head to Mexico for graduation vacation provided by parents

Spring 1987 – Maryland
1. Guys are going strong
2. Stephen is looking at graduation in June after specialising

January 1988 – Maryland
1. Guys are still together.
2. Frank's dad has a stroke and money becomes an issue, especially with Frank wanting to go to Grad School
3. Stephen tries to offer assistance but Frank turns him down and lets him know he'll come up with something.
4. Right before school starts back up, a huge argument breaks out when Frank comes over and lets Stephen know that he has joined the Navy and will be leaving for basic after he graduates
5. Come pretty close to breaking up, but they weather it.

June 1988 – Maryland
1. Frank graduates with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry
2. Stephen surprises his lover with a three-day weekend trip.

Fall 1988 – Washington, D.C.
1. Stephen is completing his residency at Georgetown University Hospital in the Infectious Diseases Fellowship Programme
2. Catches the eye of the NIH and is groomed to move into a position with them as soon as he completes his residency

June 1989 – Boston, MA
1. Warrick makes his way to meet his father and his family
2. Causes problems within the Connor family
3. Stephen doesn't have time for his father's son and wants nothing to do with his brother

September 1989 – Washington, D.C.
1. Stephen is approached by his advisor, an Army rep and his NIH liaison about an illness that is affecting some of the indigenous peoples in Kuwait and several other Middle Eastern countries
2. He's told that the Army has started studies and has five field hospitals in the various areas
3. Stephen is intrigued and joins with the intent of researching the illness and accessing the government files
4. He tries to get word to Frank, but he can't

Fall 1990 – Norfolk, VA
1. Frank trains as a medical specialist
2. Hears the initial whispers of possible Gulf War Action
3. During leave, he and Stephen finally meet up and they talk
4. Frank isn't happy that Stephen is now involved in the whole mess and another fight breaks out
5. They decide to take a cooling off period

January 1991
1. Frank's ship, USS Blue Ridge is sent to the Gulf and he is based out of a medical unit.
2. Mentored by CO
3. Tries to keep in touch w/Stephen but not possible

April 1991
1. Stephen has been reassigned to work on some of the last troops that were injured in final skirmishes and discovers Frank is one of them
2. He works on him and gets him back on the road to health and when Frank's well enough to leave the hospital, he stays with Stephen and they pick up where they left off

July 1991
1. Stephen is transferred to Germany for a while to work on some cases involving troops that are presenting mysterious symptomology
2. Frank lets him know that he'll be heading back to Norfolk

September 1991
1. The guys are still seeing each other when they can
2. Frank's CO introduces him to his daughter, Kim, a nurse in D.C.
3. Frank likes her as a friend, but nothing more
4. Stephen is the darling of the medical community because of his work with the Gulf War Vets and his supervisor warns him that all eyes are on him.
5. Stephen kind of blows it off because his feelings for Frank are strong

January 1992
Frank enters Virginia Commonwealth University to receive his Masters in Toxicology

May 1992
1. Frank's CO starts exhibiting signs of illness
2. Stephen leaves the Army as a Captain
3. Returns home and joins NIH

August 1992
1. Frank is being co-sponsored by a programme through the NIH thanks to Stephen
2. Stephen and Frank take a week off just to re-explore each other

December 1992
1. Looks like a white Christmas when a major snowstorm blows in.
2. Frank catches a ride with Kim to D.C. to stay with Stephen for the holidays.
3. The car skids and ends up in a snow bank and they have to walk the last mile or so to Stephen's place
4. Both are soaked and Frank offers Kim the shower and the use of a robe.
5. Stephen comes home early because of the snowstorm to find both of them in the bed taking a nap
6. He waits for them to awaken, gets Kim a ride to her place and then lays into Frank for cheating
7. Frank tries to explain that nothing happened, but Stephen is tired and hurt and doesn't want to hear it
8. Stephen refuses to sleep in the bed and opts for the sofa instead. He doesn't get much sleep and comes to some pretty hard decisions
9. When Frank comes out, Stephen lets him know that he's under some pressure about his private life from work and that he can't deal with anything else at the moment. Stephen thinks they should call it quits
10. Frank fights him on this, but Stephen's mind is made up
11. Frank decides to find a hotel, gathers his things, and leaves

March 1993
1. Frank's CO is diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour after having survived bouts with other cancers
2. Word gets back to Stephen because he's still working with the Gulf War vets and he tries to touch base with Frank but can't because Frank is on a Reserves tour

May 6, 1993
Frank marries Kim

May 21, 1993
1. A mutual friend mentions that Frank and Kim have married and that Frank was with his CO when he died
2. Stephen drinks the night away

June 2, 1993
A co-worker introduces Stephen to Lisa

September 12, 1993
Stephen and a pregnant Lisa marry

April 17, 1994
Stephen and Lisa have a son, Jonathon "Jack" Connor

December 16, 1994
Frank completes his Reserve duty and he and Kim welcome a daughter, Corrinne.

January 7, 1995
1. Frank receives his M.S.
2. Stephen moves up in the ranks and becomes a very well-respected "disease investigator"

August 1995
Frank joins the D.C. Police Department

July 21, 1998
Tesha is born

October 2001
1. Frank joins the P.D.'S Forensic Science Unit
2. Starts to build up an excellent reputation

December 11, 2002
1. Frank leaves the P.D.'S forensic unit after a key piece of his evidence is ignored by his supervisor and a fire-fight results in several deaths
2. Contacts his NIH liaison and they talk
3. He applies for a position and is hired
4. Because of his reputation in D.C., he is assigned to the best team – Stephen's team
Once over the shock, the guys decide to talk and clear the air and decide to be friends

February 26, 2003
Another daughter, Maddison, for Frank and Kim

October 10, 2003
Lisa miscarries her and Stephen's second child

March 2004
The Connors begin couples counselling

September 2004
Stephen and Lisa separate

January 2, 2005
Stephen and Lisa's divorce becomes final
