Frank has been married for eleven years to Kim, and they have three young daughters. Powell is often the voice of reason and a sounding board for Connor. Frank has a strong distrust of the very government he serves, no doubt aided by his time in the Navy where he served overseas in the first Gulf War. He lost a commander and good friend to Gulf War Syndrome.
