Colby Granger is a rookie FBI agent, who joined the team in the second season. He did a tour of duty with the Army's Criminal Investigation Division in Afghanistan before joining the FBI. After getting his college degree, Granger received three years of training in interrogation techniques. He was raised in a small town in Idaho and plays golf in his spare time. He is also fluent in Spanish and was a wrestler in high school. David Sinclair is his usual partner. Granger idolizes the legendary sniper/tracker Agent Ian Edgerton, who was skeptical of Charlie's analyses but soon came around in seeing him as an asset. Granger has recently begun carrying the .45 caliber Springfield TRP-Professional Model, which indicates he is SWAT qualified, as only SWAT qualified FBI agents may carry that weapon. Colby was the last to know about Megan and Larry being romantically involved, and finds it strange, as he often tells David. Sinclair disagrees, and reasons that some women like muscles, while others like brains. His recent deception in hiding information on a case to help a friend had his badge and gun recently taken from him, and Don threatened to imprison him if he ever did such a thing again as he considers the loyalty of his team of utmost importance.
