Why a Brothers' Site?
Why not?
There are sites out there for just about every other character for the above shows, but when you search and search (and search!) for even a tiny bit of fact or fiction for these gorgeous guys... nada, zip, nothing! A couple of years ago, a site appeared that had stories centered around Characters of Colour and it was applauded. But since then, many more possibilities have cropped up. Right now, this site only houses a few of these new and interesting pairings, but, who knows? If there's enough interest, the possibilities are endless.
And now... let's bring on those Brothers and Their Lovers!

From the time I can remember, I was always fascinated by the darker characters - even if that only meant the difference between blonde and brunette! As I grew older, my fascination grew into obsession and my obsession became more refined. I discovered that I wanted to see and read about characters that I could relate to... characters that looked like me. Strangely enough, especially after what I just admitted, my mind focused and I found that what I really enjoyed was the dichotomy of tones - dark and light. I was fascinated with interracial couplings and the possibilities.
Enter slash. Although I knew it could never happen on the mainstream shows, my thoughts and my writings leaned more towards the m/m arena and I realised I'd found my niche. Unfortunately, I also discovered that very few people shared my love of most things swirled and bent. Like so many others before me, when I couldn't find what I wanted, I decided to create it and the rest is history... or more appropriately, mystory. Luckily for me, I've discovered a few like-minded folks out there and we have learned to create magical worlds for our obsessions. For those out there seeking the same things... this site is for you.

Growing up, I always had to be the Indian when my sister and I played Cowboys and Indians. From my earliest memories, I've been fascinated by characters of color. And I'm about as white as a Caucasian gets! When I was a bit older and watching television, this carried over into being totally entranced by the friendships between Caucasians and Blacks in cop shows. I loved "The Rookies" and "Mod Squad" and their characters of color were the ones who I generally focused on. And then came Hill Street Blues, with its two very distinctly different teams of interracial partners. I was in fandom by this time, reading classic STAR TREK hurt/comfort and angst.
It was another few years before I got into slash. My first pairings were Caucasian and then I ventured into what had always been taboo for me: a threesome. A Caucasian male and female and a Black male. I've been told that some of my best writing has been done in that universe and I'm still proud of it.
And then I fell back inlove with one of my old cop shows. MIAMI VICE, anyone? Yeah. Southern Sonny Crockett and his Northern half, Rico Tubbs. Yummy.
Since then, I've just been adding the pairings left and right. Give me the slightest hint of interaction and my brain is looking for subtext. And in some cases, they even hand it to me on a platter.
I found a true, like-minded soul a few years back whom I have since adopted as my TwinSis. We are the ultimate in salt and pepper teams. Mirror twins, if you will. ;-) Se's created this site, giving us a place to post our musings on our obsessions.
We hope you enjoy your visit! If you like what you see, let us know. And tell your friends to come and have a look, too.

Where to begin? Well, I hail from the mid-West where people usually act like they can't wait to leave once they get grown because nothing happens here and they want to experience life. I've never had that problem. I live in a large city and I've seen a lot. Lord knows I've seen a whole lot of different relationships. I've seen Black couples of the opposite and same sex and I've seen interracial couples of the opposite sex and same sex. I've seen it played out in real life, in books (mostly Black books) and a little in the entertainment world. But there is one place where I see very little of it and that's the fanfic world. Sometimes I get the feeling writing about Black or interracial relationships is taboo. There are probably more incest stories out there than there are Black or interracial ones. Sad. Very sad indeed. Well, I was always told that if you see something you don't like then do your damndest to fix it. And I hope I and my friends can achieve that.
I make no qualms about being a sistah who loves her brothas. From the deep skin hue of Djimon Hounsou to the lighter hue of Harry Belafonte, I like them all. Add some White wine to the mix and you have a recipe that I can not resist. Why? Because visually it's a wonderful thing. Socially it's almost treated as something wrong and I love it when people buck the system for something that is right. Who said that two people of opposite races can not fall in love? Further more who said people of the same sex can't do the same thing? Love is love. And I love slash. I love seeing two of the opposite race living and loving as they should.
I'm the type of person who likes to share what I hold dear. One of the ways to do this is through writing. So I hope my stories will be enjoyable to you all. And for those who just want to test the waters on something that is new to you, I hope you can take something positive away from it and keep coming back for more.
Enjoy!
